Buffalo Bills Matt Milano

Matt Milano, linebacker for the Buffalo Bills, had quite a year.

Quickly over his young career, Milano has established himself as one of the best the NFL has to offer.

This past season Milano was named an All-Pro for the first time in his career, an award deserving of his on-field success.

Milano finished the season with 99 total tackles, 1.5 sacks, 3 interceptions, and a touchdown. Looking back on any game featuring number 58, it was easy to see that he's been a difference-maker.

The duo of Tremaine Edmunds and Matt Milano were a large part of the Bills' success on defense. In fact, if you went on social media anytime Milano was ruled out, Bills Mafia was quick to point out how detrimental his absence was for the team.

Milano with a deserving award

Now, Milano has another feather in his cap to finish off a remarkable season.

Matt Milano was part of PFF's top 101 players from 2022. The talented linebacker found himself at number 83 overall.

A quick search on social media tells you all that you'd need to know about how the Bills Mafia feels about Matt Milano and his impact on the current roster.

We can't praise Milano without mentioning the wizardry that took place to secure him.

Brandon Beane does it again

In 2011, Brandon Beane signed Milano to a four-year extension worth $44 million and $24 million, guaranteed.

Milano is a top-end linebacker in the NFL making $11 million a year. While $11 million isn't anything to put your nose up at, it's a lot less than what the All-Pro linebacker could be making on the open market.

While Milano's presence on the field is inspiring, it's what he does off the field that gets little attention. Much like McDermott himself, Milano is a quiet leader. This was perfectly exemplified after the Bills' lackluster playoff performance against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Buffalo has some difficult decisions to make for some top-tier players this offseason. One of which is Milano's counterpart, Tremaine Edmunds. While losing Edmunds would hurt greatly, having a staple linebacker like Milano still on the roster will undoubtedly help.

He'll be back

There's a really good chance this won't be the last time Milano finds himself in a top-100 list or being named an All-Pro.
