Wide receiver A.J. Brown enjoyed a short reunion with the Tennessee Titans in the Philadelphia Eagles Week 13 matchup with his former team.
Leading up to the contest, Brown used his prior knowledge of the Titans to give the Eagles a needed advantage. He admitted so on the “Raw Room” podcast hosted by former Titans’ linebacker Darren Bates.
“I gave every detail..to Philly," Brown said. "I’m talking about the cans, everything, I gave it all. Cause they don’t change nothing. They don’t change nothing.”
Brown was valuable to Philadelphia in more ways than one during the 2022 NFL season. He not only gave the Eagles an elite deep threat. But he also provided a scouting report that exposed the stagnation present in the Titans organization.
I am sure he is happy he got out of there. As the Titans crashed and burned in the 2022 season, Philadelphia found success. A large part of that success was because of Brown and how his arrival helped shift the culture.
He and Hurts have a synergy that makes the offense deadly. And recently, Hurts said he wouldn't be happy if the Eagles didn't give his quarterback a substantial contract extension. As Philadelphia moves into negotiations with Hurts, Brown is vouching for him.
Brown is also showing how he may have been one of the most critical off-season additions the Eagles made in 2022. He may have singlehandedly won them a Week 13 matchup. That is always worth it.
