Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes did Mahomes things to secure another Super Bowl.

He dazzled off-script and took care of the football. Mahomes and the Chiefs offense played almost perfectly in the second half. The Philadelphia Eagles had no answers.

With the victory over Eagles QB Jalen Hurts, Mahomes actually made college football history. More specifically, he kept history that he already made previously in his career.

Mahomes remained the only QB from the Big 12 to win a Super Bowl.

His matchup with Hurts was a battle of former Big 12 QBs. If Hurts and the Eagles would have won, Mahomes would have loss the crown as the sole Big 12 quarterback to hoist the Lombardi.

That's pretty special and unique history for one of the most talented passers in NFL history.

Mahomes totaled 182 passing yards on 21 completions with three passing touchdowns. Even on an injured ankle, the Chiefs quarterback ran for 44 yards on the ground, too. Multiple important scrambles were a part of that yardage.

The Chiefs needed every bit of his production on Sunday night, and he delivered it.

He just might be the most gifted QB to ever touch the field, but that is a conversation for another day.

Additionally, Mahomes became the first Chiefs quarterback to win multiple Super Bowls. He truly wrote his name in record books at multiple levels of the game of football.

The KC gunslinger is creating a legendary career right before our eyes.

For Mahomes, the future remains bright.

After losing his top receiver in Tyreek Hill this past off-season, his offense didn't slow down whatsoever. Actually, it improved by just a hair this season.

Travis Kelce's impressive season helped that, but many weapons stepped up in the passing game all year long. Surprising developments from running backs were vital for the Chiefs as well.

Mahomes continues to cement a legacy.
