Former Tennessee Titans punter Brett Kern is headed to the Super Bowl as a member of the Philadelphia Eagles after a long 15-year NFL career.

Kern is a fan-favorite in Nashville. He spent 13 seasons with the Titans as one of the top punters in the game, and earned three consecutive Pro Bowl nods from 2017-2019 as well as being named a First-Team All-Pro in 2019.

For a while, it seemed hard to believe that Kern would not retire as a Titan, but when the veteran was beat out by Titans rookie punter Ryan Stonehouse during 2022 training camp, another can't miss opportunity came calling. Philadelphia Eagles punter Arryn Siposs suffered an ankle injury, and Kern was signed by the team in December.

Two months later, Kern will finally get his chance to play for the Lombardi Trophy. Kern will also be joined in Super Bowl LVII by former Titans teammate A.J. Brown, who was dealt to the Eagles in April of 2022 after playing with Kern for three seasons in Tennessee.

When discussing the wild journey that has been the 2022 season and his trip to the Super Bowl with 3HL on 104.5 The Zone, Kern recapped the special moment he shared with Brown moments after the Eagles won the NFC Championship Game.

"After the game, it was pure chaos on the field," said Kern. "You're trying to find your family and your kids running out. A.J. was one of the first guys I saw. We just embraced each other. I just told him I was proud of him, because he's worked his butt off. He has played in every game. Titans fans know what he's capable of and what he can do, but I was just proud of him."

These two former Titans will be looking to help the Eagles finish the job next Sunday. Super Bowl LVII kicks off at 5:30pm CST on February 12th.
