2024 three-star offensive lineman Kison Shepard revealed his top five schools to Rivals.com this week.

Shepard, 6-foot-5/315 lbs from Somerville, TN, has Tennessee, Ole Miss, Texas, Nebraska, and Mississippi State in his top five.

The Memphis area native is ranked in 247Sports' composite rankings as the No. 43 offensive tackle in the nation and the No. 16 player in the state of Tennessee.

Shepard's rankings aren't overly impressive. His offer list, however, tells a different story.

The three-star recruit has offers from Florida, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Texas, and Texas A&M. That list should grow some in the coming months, too.

Sometimes recruiting rankings don't line up with the evaluations of coaches/programs. This appears to be one of those times.

As for Shepard's recruitment?

Well, despite being from Tennessee, Shepard has yet to make the trek across the state to visit the Vols.

But that should be changing soon. Shepard told Rivals.com that he's planning to visit Tennessee in the spring.

"I really like their coaching staff," said Shepard about Tennessee (via Rivals.com). "They are recruiting me very hard and we stay in touch a lot. I haven't visited there yet, but plan on getting up there in the spring."

Shepard, who could also be an option to play along the defensive line, should see his recruiting ranking improve significantly over the next year.
