Unlike its reputation for so long, the Cincinnati Bengals have turned into one of the most stable and successful franchises in the NFL.
Under the umbrella of head coach Zac Taylor, Cincinnati has won 22 games, two division titles, made multiple AFC Championship Game appearances, and a Super Bowl berth in the previous two seasons. A lot of that success can be attributed to excellent work in the NFL Draft.
Cincinnati had the top pick in the 2020 draft and they used it on quarterback Joe Burrow. In the second round, they snagged wide receiver Tee Higgins. After a 4-11-1 campaign, the Bengals had another high draft selection and took receiver Ja'Marr Chase in the first round in 2021.
Burrow is recognized as a top-five quarterback in the league as he currently had the NFL's all-time best completion percentage (68.2) and his knack for playing huge in big games is almost unmatched. Chase is looked at in the same light at his position which isn't surprising with multiple Pro Bowl nods and an All-Pro selection already on his resume. Higgins is one of the best No.2 options in the NFL but on most teams, he'd be the top guy which speaks to how good Chase is.
Pro Football Focus gave these three ballers some pretty big kudos. Burrow, Chase, and Higgins were named the top three players on the Bengals roster.
"Burrow is an obvious choice after back-to-back elite seasons with a 90.0-plus grade as a passer. Chase, while his 2022 wasn’t as dominant as his rookie season, is also a must on this list with two seasons above an 83.0 grade. Higgins secured the third spot as a bit of a tip of the cap to his 2022 season, during which he proved he has No. 1 ability amid Chase missing some games, and to his consistency, as he has yet to record a receiving grade below 75.0 for his career."Trevor Sikkema, PFF
At 23, 24, and 26 years old, there's no telling how much more production the Bengals will get out of these three studs. However, it will be plentiful as long as it lasts that's for sure.
