George Kittle of the San Francisco 49ers has established himself as one of the best tight ends in the NFL. However, he made his presence felt in another sport a few months ago.
WWE held its 39th annual WrestleMania in Los Angeles, California at Sofi Stadium in April, and Kittle was in attendance, on the front row to be exact. He may have been a spectator at first, but he would soon get involved.
Hip-hop legend Snoop Dogg was the host of the event and made a match between sports analyst Pat McAfee and wrestling star, The Miz. At one point in the match, The Miz was outside of the ring, and Kittle proceeded to boo him. Not taking too kindly to that, The Miz pushed Kittle.
Well, the three-time All-Pro jumped over the fence, channeled his inner JBL (John Bradshaw Layfield), and gave The Miz a clothesline he'll never forget.
Of course, The Miz was upset about being embarrassed in front of a worldwide audience. So, when Kyle Brandt of NFL Network had The Miz on his podcast "Kyle Brandt's Basement" after the event, The Miz had this to say.
"I'll never draft George Kittle as my tight end. I don't care if he's the last tight end, Kyle," said The Miz. "I will choose a quarterback, I will choose a running back, I will leave the tight end blank. I don't ever want to hear George Kittle's name. I will choose Kyle Rudolph over George Kittle."
The Miz would go on to talk about how easy Kittle was to push and that maybe the 49ers should think about him playing tight end for them.
On an appearance on "Good Morning Football" on NFL Network earlier this week, Kittle finally responded to The Miz.
"All that video does is show is that that's what The Miz is good at. He's really good at talking, talking while driving, and not a lot of fight in him," Kittle said.
"All he's gonna do is he's gonna blindside me here. I'm gonna sit down, show up the Tight End U shirt, hop the fence, and give him what he deserves. I know that mat down there it doesn't feel great. I kind of heard the wind come out of him, kind of like a pancake block. I loved it, it was fantastic. I heard him like moan a little bit, it was fantastic."
Well, if Kittle ever decides to enter the world of wrestling after football, he certainly has the gift of gab to cut a good promo.
Kittle would end things by issuing a challenge to The Miz.
"You know Miz, we can switch roles," said Kittle. "If you want to come to a game, I'll be in my full padded uniform and you can be on the sideline and I'll give you a good shove or a headbutt, and we'll see who gets up."
So, Miz, are you game or not?
