The Fourth of July has come and gone, but the Cincinnati Bengals and Green Bay Packers provided plenty of fireworks on Wednesday during their joint practice before their preseason game on Friday.
Packers' left guard Elgton Jenkins dropped Bengals' linebacker Germaine Pratt on a screen. After sitting on the ground, Pratt got up and took and swung at Elgton, which forced him to lunge at Pratt, and a fight broke out.
Elgton got involved in a second skirmish as well. Defensive tackle D.J. Reader would be his next opponent as he slapped him in the helmet. Reader would take to his Twitter account to dismiss the incident pretty much.
The term "JAG" means "Just A Guy" or someone who isn't all that skilled. That's a pretty bold statement to make by Reader, considering that Jenkins is coming of his second Pro Bowl nod in the last three seasons.
It didn’t take Jenkins long to respond.
About 90 minutes later, he posted a tweet of his own, and it had some spice to it.
I guess it's safe to say that Friday's matchup between the Bengals and the Packers will have a little extra intensity in the air.
Joe Burrow looks well attending first Bengals practice since injury
Burrow was in attendance for the first time in nearly two weeks.
