Detroit Lions fans found themselves a little concerned on Thursday when starting left tackle Taylor Decker was seen in the Lions locker room wearing a walking boot due to an apparent ankle injury he suffered in the Lions win over the Chiefs.
The Lions spoke optimistically about Decker on Friday, but Decker wound up sitting out of Lions practice on Monday. Looks like he missed Wednesday's practice too. It's important to keep in mind that this is an estimated report. The Lions did not actually practice on Wednesday. Still, the estimated report reflects what they likely would have done had they practiced. So the Lions are not out of the woods on the Decker thing yet.
There's still Thursday and Friday, but it's not looking good for Decker's availability on Wednesday.
As for the rest of the Lions, here's how their first practice report of the week shaped up.
Khalil Dorsey did not practice and Emmanuel Moseley did not practice. Moseley is a bit of a surprise after he just returned to the Lions before the season started and had been a limited participant every day. He was listed with a hamstring issue this time though, so we'll see where that goes.
As for the Seahawks offensive line, we've yet to hear anything concrete on Charles cross or Abe Lucas. Although Seahawks Head Coach Pete Carroll said this in regard to both of them on Wednesday.
The Seahawks did sign veteran tackle Jason Peters this week, so that could point to both Cross and Lucas being out. To be honest, I would kind of be surprised if Peters plays in this game. He hasn't practiced since he was with the Cowboys last season.
The Serpent of Death: Josh Reynolds has quietly been huge for the Lions
Detroit Lions Head Coach Dan Campbell gave out one of the coolest nicknames to one of his players last year while the Lions were on Hard Knocks. He called Josh Reynolds 'the serpent of fucking death." The nickname was given to Reynolds because of his ability to sneak up on you can hurt you when […]
