No game will matter more for the Pittsburgh Steelers 2023 season than this Saturday's game in Indianapolis.

Not only will they have to overcome recent struggles against a playoff contender, but they may also be without their best player in T.J. Watt.

Here's what was found in regard to Watt, Highsmith, and others on the first day of Colts week:

Steelers Injury Report, Week 15, Tuesday

Observations:

  • T.J. Watt: Watt was dinged on the first play from scrimmage against the Patriots, though he was able to finish the contest. Watt would then be placed in concussion protocol, but there has been some controversy surrounding his return to the game. On Tuesday, Watt participated in practice in a limited fashion which is a good sign for his availability on Saturday.
  • Alex Highsmith: Highsmith left the Patriots game and didn't return following a neck injury. He too was then placed in concussion protocol. On Tuesday, Highsmith also was cleared to practice in a limited capacity which bodes well for his availability.
  • Kenny Pickett: Pickett continues to rehab from his ankle surgery, with the timetable set at 2-4 weeks, although it is believed that he will be closer to the latter regarding his return. On Monday, Coach T added: "Kenny is definitively out," confirmed by a DNP on Tuesday.
  • Najee Harris: Despite playing on a short week last week, Harris was a non-participant with a knee injury, though Coach Tomlin added that he will likely play against the Colts
  • Isaac Seumalo: The big OL nursed a shoulder injury last week but he was also able to play, likely meaning the Steelers just don't want him to overdo things ahead of a must-win game.
  • Elandon Roberts: The least likely to have played against the Patriots, Roberts still pulled off the start and was effective, meaning he probably didn't participate out of precaution.
