Welcome to Week 16 of the NFL season. I know I said it last week, but the playoff implications are everywhere in this one. Especially in the NFC.
The 49ers are in first place right now. They have a chance to really sew that up this week if they're able to beat the Ravens. The problem there is that the Ravens are 11-3 and they are beating everyone. They've won the last four and the last time they faced one of the NFC's top teams, they walked out with a 38-6 win over the Lions.
That's the one seed in the NFC. The two seed could see some real action this week. Speaking of the Lions, if they beat the Vikings on Sunday, they don't just clinch their divsion for the first time since 1993, they also move into second place in the NFC regardless of what happens with the Cowboys or the Eagles. They can certainly hold that spot a little firmer if the Cowboys lose to the Dolphins and the Eagles lose to the Giants.
