The Indianapolis Colts (9-7) have positioned themselves in a win and get in situation for their Week 18 matchup with the Houston Texans (9-7).
The NFL sees the importance of this matchup and has now flexed the game to one of their primetime slots for Week 18, as the Saturday night football game.
This will be the Colts first night game of the season and only their third game that will be aired on national television. The previous two both came on NFL network. Their Week 10 matchup with the New England Patriots in Germany, and then again in Week 15 when their matchup with the Pittsburgh Steelers was flexed to Saturday at 4:30. This time around, the Colts will be on ABC, a channel that will reach more than a premium channel like NFL Network.
This matchup between the Colts and Texans will either be for a wildcard spot or the AFC South championship. The winner of this game will have their full attention on the Jacksonville Jaguars matchup with the Tennessee Titans at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, where the winner between the Colts and Texans will become huge Titans fans. Because that would lead to the winner of the Colts vs. Texans game becoming the AFC South champions.
