Going into the playoffs, San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan made it clear he was paying no attention to the seeding in the Wild Card round.

"Six and seven this year, has just as good of chance as one through five," Shanahan said. "So there's no difference to me in any of the seeds and the teams. I believe every one of them have a real good chance, especially the ones you mentioned."

The teams referenced were the six seed Los Angeles Rams and the seven seed Green Bay Packers, the latter of whom made his words look extremely prescient as they routed the two seed Dallas Cowboys on Sunday to set up a meeting with the one seed Niners.

It is a blowout that will serve as a clear reminder to the 49ers that they cannot afford to take anyone lightly in the postseason, and as a loud message to the San Francisco defense that Jordan Love is a serious threat to the Niners' Super Bowl hopes who can dice up any defense on his day.

The Packers averaged 7.8 yards per play with Love on the field, the 2020 first-round pick finishing with 272 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions.

San Francisco spent its bye week talking about maintaining the intensity in practice that will be required for the 49ers to go all the way in the postseason.

Green Bay's rout of the Cowboys may cause external concern that a red-hot Packers team could pull off another upset in the Divisional Round, but inside the building it should further the focus the minds of players who have been saying all the right things since clinching the one seed in Week 17.

It's a significant warning to the 49ers, but one that ultimately could prove to be a huge benefit to their cause.
