The 2023 NFL Season ended with the Kansas City Chiefs being crowned Super Bowl 58 champions, while the 31 other teams had to watch them celebrate.
And now all those teams, including the Green Bay Packers, have their eyes set on next season with the hope that it's them holding up the Lombardi trophy.
Like NFL teams, multiple sportsbooks have already turned their attention to the next Super Bowl, releasing the opening odds for all 32 teams to win Super Bowl XVI.
The Packers' odds to win Super Bowl 59:
According to Draft Kings, the Packers open up with +2000 odds to win next year's Super Bowl. Below are the teams who were given better odds to win:
- San Francisco 49ers (+550)
- Kansas City Chiefs (+650)
- Baltimore Ravens (+900)
- Buffalo Bills (+1000)
- Detroit Lions (+1200)
- Cincinnati Bengals (+1300)
- Miami Dolphins (+1700)
The Packers were also tied with two other teams at +2000:
- Philadelphia Eagles (+2000)
- Dallas Cowboys (+2000)
The Packers ended up receiving the third-best odds in the NFC to win next year's Super Bowl. The only teams coming in higher in their conference were the reigning NFC champion 49ers and the Lions.
The Packers came on strong near the end of the season, and one big reason for that was QB Jordan Love's coming into his own at the NFL level. They came close to upsetting the 49ers and punching their ticket to the NFC Championship game, and that should fuel them into next season.
Do you agree with the sports book's assessment of the Packers' chances? Are there any teams with higher or lower odds that you think they got wrong? Only time will tell, but their early confidence in the Packers is a testament to how well this young team performed to end the year.
