The time may have officially come for the Cleveland Browns to get their fan favorite back on the field. In Week 7 against the Cincinnati Bengals, running back Nick Chubb is questionable to play in his first game in over a year after a significant knee injury last season.

Chubb getting back on the field for the Browns will be an emotional boost to the fans and the team itself. Cleveland needs any boost they can get at 1-5 on the season. Despite being questionable, head coach Kevin Stefanski said he expects Chubb to play.

For the Bengals game, Cleveland has ruled out running back Jerome Ford (hamstring) and safety Ronnie Hickman (ankle). Joining Chubb as questionable is running back Nyheim Hines, linebacker Jordan Hicks, center Ethan Pocic, and safety Juan Thornhill.

The Browns getting Chubb back on the field would come at the right time with Ford set to be sidelined this weekend. Cleveland can’t overdo things for Chubb’s first game back, but he will be a welcomed addition to an offense that has struggled badly.

Getting Pocic back is key for the Browns after backup center Nick Harris went down with a season-ending injury last week against the Eagles. Before the season, the Browns lost center Luke Wypler, so they really have no real depth there now. Cleveland relied on Michael Dunn’s versatility to get them through the Philadephia game.

After missing last week’s game, safety Grant Delpit is back against the Bengals. Having Delpit healthy and out there is key against a very good Bengals offense. The Browns need all the help they can get against the likes of Joe Burrow, Ja’Marr Chase, and Tee Higgins. It is up in the air whether safety Juan Thornhill can return from his calf injury after missing four games on the injured reserve.
