The Cleveland Browns have wrapped up their preseason and are now working their way down to 53 players ahead of Tuesday’s deadline.

Cleveland has had multiple position battles play out during training camp, and now the front office faces some tough decisions. The Browns have already parted ways with just over 20 players, with more moves still to come.

One player who won’t have to worry about his roster spot is an undrafted free agent who turned heads with a strong preseason performance.

Browns may have found a steal with Adin Huntington

Huntington lined up as a fullback on Cleveland’s first offensive play before making his mark on defense. The versatile defensive tackle recorded two tackles, 1.5 sacks, and a forced fumble. After Saturday’s game, head coach Kevin Stefanski confirmed that Huntington had earned a place on the roster.

“Adin played fullback for us in the first play of the game. He played special teams, was disruptive on defense,” Stefanski said. “He’s on our football team. AB (Andrew Berry) said I could share that with you guys. So, he made the football team.”

Huntington, a 6-foot-1, 281-pound defensive lineman, had a standout college career at Tulane but went undrafted in April. Over five seasons split between Kent State, Louisiana Monroe, and Tulane, he racked up 15.5 sacks. The Browns jumped on the opportunity to sign him after the draft, and he rewarded them with 2.5 sacks across three preseason games.

Cleveland recently traded away DT Jowon Briggs and appears set to keep Mason Graham, Maliek Collins, Mike Hall Jr., and Shelby Harris on the interior. Huntington could round out the group as a fifth tackle or provide depth on the edge, where he also has experience.

Every year, an undrafted free agent or two manages to crack Cleveland’s roster, but few have been as impactful as Huntington this preseason. If his production carries over into the regular season, he could prove to be one of the Browns’ best finds in years—and a player some teams may end up regretting passing on.
