Injury update on multiple players for the Cleveland Browns ahead of them beginning training camp in Berea

It’s about time for the Cleveland Browns to begin training camp, so we need to go through what the injury situation looks like.

The Cleveland Browns will be back on the practice field in full next week when training camp ramps up. When the Browns do so, they’ll be mostly healthy ahead of the 2026 season.

Of course, a player like LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah is expected to miss the 2026 season, and it remains very doubtful he ever plays football again. Past that, the Browns just have a few players to monitor that have worked their way back from injuries.

DT Mason Graham

The first name on the list is defensive tackle Mason Graham. The former Michigan standout was seen wearing a walking boot during part of Browns OTAs back in June before the boot came off. There wasn’t much word on what Graham was recovering from, but Cleveland is looking for a big Year 2 jump from the former first-round pick after a solid rookie campaign.

It wouldn’t be a surprise if Graham is eased into action during training camp after being limited during OTAs. Still, expect to see him out there at some point, potentially even early on.

QB Deshaun Watson

Then there’s quarterback Deshaun Watson, who missed the entire 2025 season after an Achilles injury that he reinjured and required two surgeries. Watson also missed 10 games in 2024, meaning the Browns have barely seen him on the field over the past two seasons.

The veteran is now vying for the starting quarterback job alongside Shedeur Sanders. Watson has fully recovered from his injury, and he can’t afford days off in the middle of a quarterback competition. It would be a surprise to see him missing much time during camp, even if it’s for rest purposes.

RB Quinshon Judkins

Running back Quinshon Judkins is another player who suffered a serious injury last year when he went down with a broken ankle. Judkins made a quicker recovery than scheduled and was close to a full participant during OTAs.

Cleveland is looking for a second-year jump from Judkins, who was spectacular as a rookie but ran behind a poor offensive line and eventually was ground down. Judkins is going to be a focal part of the Browns offense in 2026, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s a player who gets some days off during training camp. He’s going to be their bell cow, and they’ll need him for all 17 games.

DT Maliek Collins

Defensive tackle Maliek Collins may be the most uncertain situation of the group. Collins was productive for the Browns last year until a quad injury ruled him out for the remainder of the season. The veteran did not participate in offseason programs, and it wouldn’t be a surprise if he ended up on the PUP list to begin training camp.

The Browns do expect to have Collins back at some point, but it’s no lock that he’s ready for the beginning of the regular season. Time will tell on that one.
