You never know who you are going to see at any given sporting event when you go out into public. You might just see Peyton Manning in Brentwood for his son Marshall’s high school football game, as was the case on Friday.

Or, you might see actor and comedian Kevin Hart on the field at Neyland Stadium, as was the case before the Vols kicked off against ETSU on Saturday afternoon in Tennessee’s home opener.

Hart was on the field and shook hands with Josh Heupel pregame.

Hart’s son, Hendrix, is on an official visit for the Vols’ track and field program. Hendrix runs track for Sierra Canyon School in Chatsworth, California and is a sprinter. His best times are 10.68 in the 100-meter dash and 21.35 seconds in the 200-meter dash.

His father is known, of course, for countless comedy shows and movie roles, including the Jumanji films, Central Intelligence, Borderlands, Fatherhood, Death at a Funeral, and Top Five.

So far, it looks like the Harts are getting to see Tennessee Athletics at its best on Saturday, as the Vols lead ETSU early in the second quarter 31-0 before a packed and loud Neyland Stadium. We’ll see in the coming months if that will become a more regular occurrence for both men in the years ahead.
