In one of the most dramatic finishes of the young Big Ten season, Oregon proved its toughness on the biggest stage yet. The Ducks battled through the chaos of a primetime White Out at Beaver Stadium. They emerged with a gritty double-overtime 30-24 victory over Penn State, a win defined as much by resilience as sheer talent. While quarterback Dante Moore and the offense made timely plays, Oregon’s defense — long questioned for its ability to hold up against the run — rose to the occasion. From clutch stops on third down to relentless pressure in overtime, the Ducks’ defense delivered a statement performance that carried them past the Nittany Lions and kept their championship and Heisman hopes alive.

Dante Moore is special for Oregon

Again and again, Moore proves he is the best quarterback in college football. He made big-time plays with both his arm and his legs consistently, delivering on “got to have it” moments. He displayed his poise, accuracy, and toughness throughout the night. He is clearly one of the best players in college football and should be first on Heisman ballots as it stands today.

Ducks defense stepped up against Penn State and Drew Allar

The defense was excellent—full stop. They stopped the run, got after Allar, and were disruptive all night. In the got-to-have-it moments, they came up huge. Matayo Uiagullei was all over the place and firmly established himself as a first-round pick. If the Ducks’ defense continues this level of play, they can make a deep run in the playoffs.

Bold decisions paid off for the Oregon Ducks

Head coach Dan Lanning was forced to make tough fourth-down decisions throughout the game, and he continued to put his faith in his team. His team delivered on these crucial downs, and they proved his decision-making correct. His faith in his team is more than justified, and it’s that bold decision-making that sets him apart from other coaches in college football.
