The Eagles are 4-0, but that does not mean it’s “Always Sunny” in Philadelphia.

Star wide receiver A.J. Brown is noticeably unhappy, and he has every right to be, even if the Eagles are winning.

In four games so far, Brown has logged 14 catches for 151 yards and a touchdown on 28 targets. That’s an average of seven targets per game, which is low for a top receiver. It’s worth noting that his targets have not been the easiest passes to catch.

Following the Eagles’ most recent win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 4, Brown declined to speak with reporters and instead took to X/Twitter to express his frustration with a Bible quote: “If you’re not welcomed, not listened to, quietly withdraw. Don’t make a scene. Shrug your shoulders and be on your way.”

Nick Sirianni Responds to A.J. Brown’s Cryptic Tweet

Brown’s social media post naturally sparked a reaction from fans, leaving many questioning whether he’s hinting at wanting a new team.

Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni was asked by reporters on Monday if he believes Brown still wants to play for the Birds, and he offered some reassurance.

“Yeah. Obviously, A.J. is very important to this football team,” Sirianni told reporters. “I know he wants to contribute and do the things he’s capable of doing.

“He wants to contribute into these wins, and he’s had a couple of games where he hasn’t been able to for different reasons. I question nothing about his desire to play great football, his desire to be a good teammate, his desire to be here.”

It’s very clear that the Eagles value Brown, but they have to start showing it better on the field, or he could be asking for a new home before the trade deadline comes in November.
