Two Miami Hurricanes find themselves in the top 10 of latest 2026 NFL mock draft
Two Canes could go very high in April.
The Miami Hurricanes are having a terrific 2025 season on the field, surging to the #3 ranking in the polls with a 4-0 record. Their strong start has been characterized by outstanding play on both their offensive and defensive lines, which have been largely dominant thus far.
Aas such, it’s no surprise to see two best players in those groups – DE Rueben Bain, Jr. and OT Francis Mauigoa – very high up in draft boards and in mock drafts, and that includes A to Z Sports’ most recent mock draft.
Rueben Bain, Jr. and Francis Mauigoa land in top 10 of A to Z Sports’ 2026 NFL mock draft
Bain is a player that many expect to be one of the first few players taken, if not the first overall player taken. He’s been, without question, the best and most dominant defender in college football this season, and arguably the best player in the country regardless of position.
Kyle Crabbs of A to Z Sports took Bain with the second overall pick for the Tennessee Titans.
2. Tennessee Titans: Rueben Bain Jr., EDGE, Miami (FL)
“What’s that, you say? The Titans need some pass-rush help? Boy, do I have good news for you. Rueben Bain Jr. might be the best player in the country thus far in 2025. He’s been an absolute menace for every offensive line he’s faced. He’s built unconventionally dense, but it offers him leverage to play with power and slipperiness to slide through the hands of opposing blockers.
Tennessee’s got the quarterback in place, and it’s now about building out the rest of the roster around him. Regardless of potential coaching staff changes, this pick is too good to pass up.” – Kyle Crabbs, A to Z Sports Miami
It’s hard to argue with the pick, and honestly, Bain should be strongly in play for the first overall pick – whether that’s New Orleans or someone else – as the best player available in the entire draft.
Bain landing in Tennessee would give the Titans an immediate spark to a pass rush that’s been lacking to date. Only one team has less than the Titans’ four sacks this season (Carolina with two), so there’s obviously a need there.
7. Cincinnati Bengals: Francis Mauigoa, OT, Miami (FL)
“If the Cincinnati Bengals don’t use their first-round pick on an offensive lineman, the fanbase may boycott the season. Barring some big free agent move or trade, the Bengals have to go all in on protecting Joe Burrow.
Amarius Mims has struggled at right tackle, and the offense looks lifeless without Burrow. Time to shore up the protection when he gets back with the best right tackle in the 2026 NFL Draft.” – Rob Gregson, A to Z Sports Pittsburgh
The Bengals’ inability to protect QB Joe Burrow is well documented, so investing heavily in a better offensive line should be their primary, secondary, and tertiary draft strategies. Mauigoa is a true people mover and has proven to be a strong pass blocker, allowing just 1 sack in 534 pass blocking snaps last season.
Mauigoa should be one of the first offensive linemen taken in the draft in April, if not the first, so going to Cincinnati whenever they’re on the clock is absolutely a viable partnership.
