Florida State Seminoles veteran lets everyone know that Saturday vs. the Miami Hurricanes could get ugly
Earl Little and the Florida State Seminoles are ready for war against Miami.
The Florida State Seminoles are ready for the Miami Hurricanes in a rivalry game after a quick turnaround from their loss to the Virginia Cavaliers. They’re all ready for war.
“I’m telling my guys down there every day, ‘It’s going to be a bloodbath,’” Florida State safety Earl Little Jr. said on Wednesday. “That’s the type of game it’s going to be on Saturday. So whatever we’ve got to do to put ourselves in position to win throughout the week, that’s what we’re going to do. Whether that’s hitting dudes hard in practice … we know that’s the type of game it’s going to be. It’s all going to boil down to physicality and who wants it more. So that’s what we’ve been harping on, and that’s how we’ve been attacking practice.”
Miami is one of the best football teams in the country, and FSU finally showed that it can be beaten. Saturday night will be fun, watching two teams who really have a disdain for one another go at it in Tallahassee.
Seminoles can beat Miami, but it will have to be a shootout
The Noles’ defense really struggled against the Cavs’ offense last Friday. Virginia ran all over them late in the game, and Chandler Morris, with a hurt throwing hand, did whatever he needed to ice out the game. That cannot happen against Miami, or the game won’t be close, frankly.
The defense will not stop Miami easily, as we all know. So, the offense will have to do the bulk of the work. Luckily, they have a good enough offense to not only hang around the Hurricanes, but a good enough offense to win the game. That starts with the run game, and extends to the run game setting up the passing game with guys like Duce Robinson, LaWayne McCoy, Jayvan Boggs, Squirrel White, and Micahi Danzy.
The Noles will need to make sure that the run game is working well if they want any success on offense. They have guys like Gavin Sawchuk and Ousmane Kromah running the ball extremely well. Now, they will be adding Roydell Williams to the mix, and that could change everything. Either way, the Seminoles will have their hands full, but it’s clear they are not rolling over.
