There’s little doubt that the Tennessee Vols will be looking for revenge on Saturday when the Arkansas Razorbacks visit Neyland Stadium.

Arkansas beat Tennessee 19-14 last season in Fayetteville. The loss ended up knocking the Vols out of position to host a game in the first round of the College Football Playoff (UT went on the road to play Ohio State in Columbus instead).

Vols true freshman tight end Jack Van Dorselaer acknowledged earlier this week that the game against Arkansas on Saturday is “a little bit more personal” than most games.

Razorbacks defensive lineman Quincy Rhodes Jr is well aware that Tennessee will be out for revenge on Saturday

Arkansas defensive lineman Quincy Rhodes Jr told reporters on Tuesday he’s aware that Tennessee will be out for revenge on Saturday afternoon. He also said that he’s expecting “chaos” from the fans in Neyland Stadium.

“I’m definitely expecting a lot of chaos just from the crowd,” said Rhodes. “I know that’s probably one of the loudest college football stadiums in America from what I know. The players, of course, they lost last year. So I definitely expect them to come in with a chip on their shoulder to get their revenge back.”

Rhodes also praised Vols quarterback Joey Aguilar as a “competitive guy” before noting that anyone “can be beat”.

“Definitely a competitive guy,” said Rhodes when asked about Aguilar. “They have a great offense. But again, like I say all the time, it’s just a matter of how we present ourselves towards them. Anybody can be beat. So, we shall see.”

Rhodes is certainly right that anyone can be beat — the SEC is as competitive ever. Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin, in fact, compared the SEC to the NFL on Tuesday.

“This conference is like the NFL,” said Kiffin. “Everybody can beat everybody and everybody can lose to everybody in this conference. You’re seeing it by what’s going on every week. It’s a battle. It’s just different than every other conference. Just like in the NFL, you’ve got to play really well every week.”

Tennessee and Arkansas know they’re going to get each other’s best shot on Saturday in Neyland Stadium. It should be a fun matchup between two explosive offenses.
