Titans Trade Deadline Tracker: Final 2026 draft capital and grades for the three in-season trades
Everything you need to know about the Titans trade deadline and 2026 draft haul
The 2025 NFL Trade Deadline has now come and gone, and just as I (and other locals) began reporting a couple of weeks ago, the Titans were not in fact a “fire sale” team. They finished with just three in-season trades, but they did boost their war chest of draft picks along the way. Here’s the final list of picks at their disposal, and a grade for each trade they made:
2026 Titans Draft Picks
- 1st Round
- 2nd Round
- 3rd Round
- 4th Round
- 5th Round (projected TEN, via LAR)
- 5th Round (projected NYJ, via BAL)*
- 6th Round
- 6th Round (BAL)
- 7th Round
*Conditional, becomes a BAL 4th Round pick if Ravens reach playoffs and Dre’Mont Jones records 2+ sacks
The Titan will head into the 2026 draft with nine picks instead of the eight they started with this season, and have a handful of upgrades on Day 3 thanks to the trades that they made. Now, let’s grade the moves.
EDGE Dre’Mont Jones to the Ravens
The Titans traded Jones to the Ravens for a conditional 5th round pick on the night of November 3rd, the eve of trade deadline day. It was the final trade the Titans would make this season, and GM Mike Borgonzi saved the best for last. It seemed clear Tennessee would move one of their EDGE pieces on expiring deals between Jones, Arden Key, and Jihad Ward. And Jones had spent the past month making himself the most attractive of the bunch, recording at least one sack in four consecutive games. The conditions of his pick turning into a 4th are shockingly likely to be met, explained in detail at the link here. A good piece of business from Borgonzi, who turned a one year rental he was unlikely to sign again in the spring into an additional draft pick he needed badly.
Grade: A
CB Roger McCreary to the Rams
The Titans traded McCreary to the Rams for a 5th/6th round pick swap on October 27th. The terms of this trade dictate that the Titans will receive the best of the Rams multiple 5ths, which funny enough, is practically guaranteed to be Tennessee’s original pick from the LB Ernest Jones trade in 2024. And the Titans conditions dictate that they will send back the worst of their own 6th round picks. This means the Titans are likely to be moving up something in the neighborhood of 60-70+ picks, which is a much greater jump than a full round. The writing was on the wall that Borgonzi and his front office weren’t interested in bringing McCreary back on a new deal once his rookie deal expired this winter, so they got something for him now instead of nothing after the season. It would’ve been much nicer if that something was an actual additional pick, but the market is what the market is.
Grade: B
CB Jarvis Brownlee Jr. to the Jets
The Titans traded Brownlee Jr. to the Jets for a 6th/7th round pick swap on September 23rd. This move came as a shock to everybody on the outside of Tennessee’s building. They moved one of their starting cornerbacks after just two starts this season? 16 total starts as a Titan? This wasn’t a veteran or even a player at the end of their rookie contract, no, this was a second year starting cornerback you found in the 5th round of the draft. So why sell him for a hill of beans?
Put simply, Mike Borgonzi moved on from him because he was not a culture fit for what he’s trying to build here in Tennessee. And that’s an unfalsifiable thesis for those outside the Titans building, unless the details behind this decision are ever brought to light. Maybe the team really did have great reasons to find him a new home, but it sounds like we’ll never get to talk about them in the light of day. Meanwhile, everybody in New York loves the guy so far and he’s playing good football in the slot, his natural position he didn’t get to play in Tennessee because of Roger McCreary.
The fact that the Titans are comfortable letting themselves look like fools on this trade is telling in and of itself. They aren’t blind to how this looks, but they don’t care. They made this move eyes-wide-open. But it’s still a mark against them that they weren’t able to make it work with the talented player they found late in the draft. Maybe one day Brownlee will implode and this will look different. If and until that day comes, the Titans look like they got fleeced here.
