Micah Parsons sends warning ahead of Eagles vs Packers ‘dogfight’

Micah Parsons has a warning for the Philadelphia Eagles, as they prepare to face the Green Bay Packers on “Monday Night Football.”
“It’s going to be a very respectful and disrespectful game. It’s going to be a dogfight,” Parsons told reporters this week.
The Eagles are used to facing Parsons in a Dallas Cowboys uniform, but this will be the first time they’ve seen him in green and gold. He’s been wearing those colors well, racking up 44 QB pressures and 6.5 sacks since he was traded to Green Bay in August.
The Eagles need to worry about more than just Micah Parsons
It also doesn’t help the Eagles’ case much that Green Bay’s overall defense is allowing just 286 yards per game, fifth best in the NFL, and 22 total sacks on the season.
With years of NFC East battles behind them, left tackle Jordan Mailata and the Eagles understand just how quickly Parsons can take over a game and how vital it will be to stay disciplined and sharp up front to keep him contained.
“He opens up a lot of opportunities for other guys,” Mailata said. “We’ve faced Micah a lot of times (from when Parsons played with Dallas), so we know what kind of player he is, man, and we know the kind of disruption he can present.
“We have never made it about anybody else. It’s about us and doing what we can do to make sure that he does not disrupt our game. The coaches have to put us in those positions, but we have to go out and execute. Micah has a sixth sense for the game. Some players have that sixth sense, and he’s got it.”
The good news for the Eagles is that they’re coming off a long bye week, giving them time to rest up and get healthier ahead of what could be a real dogfight.
