It’s hard to believe, but Week 12 of the college football season is here, and it’s a huge one. For the Alabama Crimson Tide, it starts and ends with capturing a win over the Oklahoma Sooners. A win over a top 12 team to close out Alabama’s run against ranked opponents will go a long way in Alabama’s seeding come playoff time.

But they could also use some help. The SEC has more than a couple big games outside of Alabama vs. Oklahoma, with many teams in must-win scenarios.

So here are the games Crimson Tide fans should have their eyes on, and the teams not wearing crimson and white that they should be rooting for.

Florida vs. Ole Miss

Many Alabama fans root for Lane Kiffin every week that he doesn’t play the Crimson Tide. That being said, Ole Miss is a considerable threat if they make it to the College Football Playoff. The Rebels’ only loss this season came in a nail biter agaisnt the Georgia Bulldogs.

So it will take a lot for the Gators to get the win, but Florida has home-field advantage on its side and the rooting interest of Alabama fans.

Texas A&M vs. South Carolina

Alabama already took care of business against the Gamecocks, but now they will be rooting for South Carolina to pull off a stunner against the Aggies. Texas A&M is undefeated and sits ahead of the Crimson Tide in the rankings.

Should Alabama and A&M win out, there is a good shot they meet in Atlanta for the SEC championship. But dropping one to South Carolina would almost surely catapult Alabama above the Aggies in the CFP bracket and the SEC standings.

Georgia vs. Texas

If the Texas Longhorns can take down the Bulldogs, Alabama has a chance to avoid the Bulldogs going forward. The Longhorns and more specifically, quarterback Arch Manning, have come on strong over the last few weeks, and this may be the closest of the three games.

If Texas can pull off the upset, A&M falls to South Carolina, and then Texas fall to A&M to close out the season, Alabama would be sitting pretty heading into December.
