The Seattle Seahawks had a brilliant start to the season, but that momentum stopped a bit this past weekend during the team’s 21 to 19 loss to the Los Angeles Rams. Despite that ugly showing, there is still a lot to be excited about with this team. Head coach Mike Macdonald has injected a lot of energy into the team and fanbase. Quarterback Sam Darnold has also mostly been excellent outside of this past Rams game.

This is a team that appears to have a solid winning window right now, and they have the talent to play with just about anyone in the NFL. With that opportunity in front of them, this is an organization that will need to continue adding impact talent. That was the goal in the latest 7-round 2026 NFL mock draft. The Seahawks were able to add more support around Darnold and a couple of early impact defenders.

Seahawks 7-round mock draft

Round 1, Pick 27: Isaiah World, OT, Oregon

Right tackle has still been an issue for the Seahawks, and a talented blocker like World falling into their lap is extremely enticing. The former Nevada transfer is still a bit rough around the edges, but he is still steadily improving each week. As the game continues to slow down for World, he has a chance to develop into a plus starter down the road. His upside is still immense.

Round 2, Pick 58: Will Lee III, CB, Texas A&M

Lee feels like a player that head coach Mike Macdonald would value at a high level. With his combination of length, smoothness, and physicality, Lee can make his living balancing between press man and zone. There might not be a more competitive cover man in the entire 2026 class than Lee. The former Kansas State transfer brings a demeanor to the table that is infectious for a defense.

Round 3, Pick 89: Gabe Jacas, EDGE, Illinois

There is nothing flashy about Jacas, but he is a player that is going to demand a roster spot for a very long time. His bread and butter will be his ability as a physical edge setter, but Jacas also brings enough power and effort to be an effective part of a pass rush room. The floor he brings to the table is just so high.

Round 6, Pick 203: Jacob Rodriguez, LB, Texas Tech

After Texas Tech concludes its Heisman Trophy campaign for Rodriguez, NFL scouts will be left to evaluate a really smart football player with some movement skills, but clear deficiencies. His overall power profile is below average, as is Rodriquez’s frame. He will have a chance to stick on the next level if he takes well to special teams. Having much higher expectations probably isn’t the wisest decision.
