The Indianapolis Colts’ upcoming game against the Houston Texans is arguably their most crucial remaining on the schedule.

After a rough 3-5 start to the year, the Texans have won three straight and now sit at 6-5, just two games behind the Colts and one game behind the Jacksonville Jaguars. A win for the Colts would extend their lead and create some needed separation in the race for the AFC South.

One of the Texans’ biggest stars surprisingly showed up on the injury report on Thursday. Making an interesting thing to watch for when the final injury report of the week posts on Friday.

Texans star Will Anderson Jr. misses practice on Thursday

Texas star pass rusher Will Anderson Jr. found himself on the injury report after missing Thursday’s practice with what the team listed as a chest injury. This came as a surprise to many, as there was no report from the team indicating that Anderson would miss practice.

The Texans’ head coach will likely speak with the media today and should give an update on the severity of Anderson’s injury. At this time, it’s unclear whether he missed practice on Thursday as a precaution or if he is in danger of missing this week’s game.

When healthy, the Texans have two of the top edge rushers in the NFL in Anderson and Danielle Hunter. Both have already surpassed 10 sacks this season and have really come on strong as of late during the team’s win streak. It’ll be a tall task for the Colts to find a way to slow this duo down.

The team’s recent struggles in pass protection also contribute to that. No matter Anderson’s status, the Colts’ offensive line needs to be prepared to play their best football of the season if they want to prevent the Texans’ defense from taking over this game.
