Andy Reid continues to sing the same old song after loss to Cowboys that fans are likely tired of hearing
Chiefs and head coach Andy Reid loses another one against the Cowboys.
Their sixth loss of the year is tied for the most the Kansas City Chiefs have ever had in a season with Patrick Mahomes, and the second most the Chiefs have had under head coach Andy Reid. And yet, fans are tired of hearing what Reid is saying after every single loss, because it’s the same thing, with no consistent proof that changes are on the horizon.
“The guys know,” Reid said during his postgame press conference. “They understand we’ve got to clean up a few things. We’ve got to do better as coaches. We’ve got to do better as players. You go back to the drawing board. You don’t quit. We were close here.”
The Chiefs are still not done this season, with six losses
The last time Kansas City won the Super Bowl, they had six losses. Some of you are probably tired of hearing about hypotheticals and going on the emotional rollercoaster you go on every single week with this team. But it’s something to talk about, for sure.
Now, the Chiefs need to win out, which they have a tough schedule against the Houston Texans, Los Angeles Chargers, Denver Broncos, Las Vegas Raiders, and Tennessee Titans. Two of those should be easy wins, but right now, you truly don’t know. Even if you win out, you still have to get some help from other teams, and maybe a bit of help from the refs, and not the officials working against them like they were vs. the Dallas Cowboys.
The teams you have to beat out, record-wise, are the Jacksonville Jaguars, who have the head-to-head win, the Buffalo Bills, who also have that win, and the Chargers, who once again have the head-to-head win, for now. The Houston Texans are another team you need to beat out, as they have one less loss than the Chiefs, for now, but play one another next after the Texans’ game on Sunday.
There’s so much that has to go right for the Chiefs, but they are still not out. But whatever Reid is saying, if he’s going to keep repeating the same things, there needs to be some results.
