Thanksgiving break is over for the Cincinnati Bengals as they begin preparations to face the Buffalo Bills in NFL Week 14. Cincinnati needs to catch the Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC North standings. A win over the Ravens last week helps, and the next task is taking down the team that just beat the Steelers.

Let’s take a look at the first injury reports for both the Bengals and Bills.

Observations

  • Joe Burrow is no longer listed on the injury report. He was listed with his toe injury the past three weeks as a limited or full participant. Now that he’s a week removed from returning to in-game action, the team is no longer including him.
  • Tee Higgins (concussion) and Tahj Brooks (concussion) both went limited as they’re working through the concussion protocol. Head coach Zac Taylor said Higgins is making progress but it’s too early to tell if either player will be returning Sunday. Both players suffered their concussions during Cincinnati’s Week 12 loss to the New England Patriots.
  • Shaka Heyward (fibula) was the only other limited participant. Heyward was just cleared to practice after missing the last four weeks, but he’s still on the Reserve/Injured as of now.

Bills Wednesday injury report

Observations

  • Terrel Bernard (elbow), Joey Bosa (hamstring/wrist), and Joshua Palmer (knee/ankle) were the only Bills not practicing Wednesday. Bosa has played in all 12 games for Buffalo this season and leads the club in pressures (41), but head coach Sean McDermott labeled him as “week-to-week” Wednesday.
  • Spencer Brown (shoulder) and Dion Dawkins (concussion) are working back toward playing and were limited Wednesday. Brown and Dawkins are the starting tackles for the Bills (right and left, respectively), and both missed last week.
  • Dalton Kincaid (hamstring/knee) was also limited Wednesday. Kincaid has the second-most receiving yards (448) for Buffalo this year.
