Lane Kiffin is building his coaching staff with the LSU Tigers, and there is little doubt he will find success in the transfer portal once it opens. That being said, he continues to be active on social media to stir the pot a bit. That shouldn’t surprise a soul.

Lane Kiffin posts Morgan Wallen song with clear message

The new LSU head coach has caught plenty of flak from Ole Miss fans, players, and parts of the media around football over the past few weeks due to how he left the Rebels and joined the Tigers. There is no doubt that Kiffin has heard these takes and understands how he is portrayed by plenty of people now. He posted a screenshot of a popular Morgan Wallen song on Saturday afternoon.

The lyrics of “I’m the Problem” from Wallen portray how Kiffin may feel due to getting a lot of blame for his exit from Ole Miss. The song is clearly about a relationship, but a job relationship in coaching can conveniently also be used as a comparison with the lyrics tweaked a bit.

“You say I’ll never change
I’m just a-go around town with some gasoline
Just tryin’ to bum a flame
Gonna burn the whole place down
And how do you explain
Ever fallin’ in love with a guy like me in the first place
Then turn around, say that I’m the worst thing?

I guess I’m the problem
And you’re Ms. “Never Do No Wrong”
If I’m so awful
Then why’d you stick around this long?” — Morgan Wallen on I’m the Problem

Of course, Kiffin is always looking for ways to make comedic waves on social media, and this is just the latest example. It is also worth noting that Kiffin has recently listed his Mississippi home for sale.

“Per Sportico’s Daniel Libit, Kiffin has listed his Mississippi home for $2.7 million. The Oxford-based property measures 7,104 square feet and includes five bedrooms, six bathrooms plus a pool and driveway apron that were added on as part of renovations in 2024.” — Bleacher Report

Kiffin is moving on, but it is no secret that the drama created throughout this entire situation continues to weigh on him as he enters his new challenge at LSU.
