The 2025 season has been a disaster for the Minnesota Vikings, and it got worse on Tuesday morning. The NFL announced the rosters for the Pro Bowl Games, and for the first time since 2014 and third time in franchise history, the Vikings don’t have a single player on the NFC roster.

Yes, the Vikings don’t have a single Pro Bowler. They are joined by the New Orleans Saints and New York Jets with teams who don’t have anyone on the Pro Bowl Games rosters. For context, the Vikings have seven wins, while the Saints and Jets have eight combined.

Minnesota Vikings snubbed by Pro Bowl Games

When you look at the 2025 Vikings, it’s been a tough season. They have not played with any kind of consistency this season, even with the three-game winning streak they are currently on. The quarterback position and massive injuries have been the biggest reasons for the Vikings not having the season they wanted. J.J. McCarthy has only started nine of the fifteen games due to multiple injuries, not to mention the offensive line.

It doesn’t help that Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison, and Christian Darrisaw have all had down seasons, amplifying the Vikings’ down season. Where this decision to have no Pro Bowlers for the Vikings is confusing is linked with multiple players getting snubbed.

DT Jalen Redmond

When you look at the Vikings this season, it’s hard to argue that anyone other than Jalen Redmond being the best player on the team. He’s been such an important player to Brian Flores’ defense, and his performance has been a renaissance. He has 6.0 sacks and 11.0 tackles for loss on the season, and been a force in both stopping the run and the pass. If it weren’t an elite year for defensive tackles, Redmond would have made it.

K Will Reichard

Reichard has been one of the best kickers in the NFL this season. He has made 27-29 field goals this season and all 28 extra points. Reichard also became the first kicker in NFL history to make four field goals of 59+ yards in a single season. He was passed over for Dallas Cowboys kicker Brandon Aubrey, who missed two field goals in the Vikings matchup.

Make no mistake about it, the Vikings got a couple of big snubs, but it’s another piece of evidence of a disappointing season.
