Victory Mondays have not been a common thing over the last couple of seasons for the Cleveland Browns. Today would be one following win No. 4 of the season for the team in Northeast Ohio.

Cleveland finished their home slate with a 13-6 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Browns stopped the Steelers from clinching the division and Pittsburgh will now play the Baltimore Ravens next week for a spot in the playoffs. Cleveland surpassed their win total from last year by beating the Steelers, but it also dropped three spots in the draft order. When it comes to the draft order, that’s one thing players aren’t concerned about on the field.

Myles Garrett drops a telling statement after win over Pittsburgh

“I don’t care what the situation is with the record. Not a single one of us wants to lay down to a team or a man that’s in front of us,” Garrett said after the game. “We got put here in this place, or selected, whatever it was, drafted, to come here and win. Has it always been that way? No. But I’ll be damned if I’m just going to go out there and lay down to another team just because we want some more draft picks. That’s just not me.”

Cleveland now sits at No. 6 in the draft order, while a loss would have them at No. 2. In a 2026 draft class that is looking like there will be two high-level quarterbacks with Fernando Mendoza and Dante Moore, the Browns are likely out of a spot to select one now unless they trade up.

That’s the kind of approach you want from your leader and the Browns indeed looked like a team that did not care about their record on Sunday against the Steelers. Cleveland held Aaron Rodgers to 21-of-39 passing for 168 yards and no touchdowns. The Browns were able to keep Pittsburgh out of the end zone and their only points were two Chris Boswell field goals. Pittsburgh found some success on the ground with 131 rushing yards, but they were 0-for-3 on fourth downs.

Garrett still sits at 22 sacks and did not get the sack record against the Steelers. The star pass rusher will have one more chance against Joe Burrow and the Bengals to break the sack record of 22.5. Winning has always meant more to Garrett than the personal accolades and the Browns grabbed one of those on Sunday with an upset.
