The Cleveland Browns have their work cut out for them this offseason, and the first order of business is finding a new head coach.

Kevin Stefanski was relieved of his duties after six years, marking a shift in the franchise. After the Browns find a coach, they’ll have free agency and the draft to improve the team. After a great draft last April, doing the same again would speed up the Browns’ rebuild.

Let’s get into the first four-round mock draft since Stefanski’s firing.

Round 1, Pick 6: Carnell Tate, WR, Ohio State

The Browns need more dudes on offense that defenses have to gameplan against. Tate is the next up out of the Ohio State NFL wide receiver factory. Tate wins a ton in the middle of the field and deep.

He’s a player who should be a real chain mover at the next level with Pro Bowl upside. Adding Tate gives the Browns an outside wideout to pair with Jerry Jeudy.

Round 1, Pick 24: Monroe Freeling, OT, Georgia

Cleveland needs a makeover on its offensive line, and there will be a lot of new faces starting for them in 2025. Freeling has a chance to be one of the first few offensive linemen off the board. An athletic offensive tackle, like the Browns have coveted in the past.

Freeling has a chance to be very good and a cornerstone of an offensive line if he reaches his ceiling at 6-foot-7 and 318 pounds.

Round 2, Pick 39: Germie Bernard, WR, Alabama

Doubling up on wide receivers should be in play for the Browns. Outside of Isaiah Bond, the Browns have no young wide receiver talent worth developing for the future. Bernard had back-to-back strong seasons in the SEC at Alabama, culminating in 862 yards and seven touchdowns in 2025.

Round 3, Pick 70: Trinidad Chambliss, QB, Ole Miss

The Browns won their way out of drafting a quarterback early, so taking another mid-round swing could be in play here. Chambliss could end up going as high as the first round or could be a Day 2 pick, depending on how the next couple of months go for him.

He’s played just 15 games at the Power Four level at Ole Miss, but left a strong impression with nearly 4,000 passing yards to a 20-3 touchdown to interception ratio.

Round 4, Pick 107: Joe Royer, TE, Cincinnati

Royer spent three seasons at Ohio State doing nothing, then nearly had 1,000 yards across two seasons at Cincinnati. The Browns could be losing David Njoku in free agency, so adding depth will be key if that happens. Harold Fannin Jr. is already a star, and Royer would be another athlete the Browns could use in their offense.
