The Dallas Cowboys got their defensive coordinator in Christian Parker. Now it’s time to get him the players.

Last year, personnel was as big of an issue as coaching was, so Jerry Jones and Co. better be ready to spend more than usual in this year’s free agency. And to kick things off, the Cowboys should look at players who could follow Parker to Dallas, which also means sabotaging the division rival Philadelphia Eagles.

Below are four Eagles’ pending free agents that Parker should already be convincing the Cowboys to target in March. Note: All projected market values via Spotrac.

LB Nakobe Dean

This is the big one. What Nakobe Dean means for the Eagles defense shouldn’t be understated. Defensive coordinators often seek linebackers familiar with their schemes to follow them and help set the tone. Mike Zimmer brought Eric Kendricks, Matt Eberflus signed Jack Sanborn. Can Parker get the Cowboys to secure Dean, whose deal is likely to be much more expensive compared to those two?

After coming back from injury in 2025, Dean was a standout defender for Philly, and a big reason before their defensive improvement late in the year. He was solid versus the run, in coverage, and even as a blitzer. Dean should be one of the Cowboys’ top targets in free agency.

Projected market value: $15.5M

S Reed Blankenship

Though Blankenship’s play declined in 2025, he would be an immediate upgrade for the Cowboys and again, someone familiar with the language Parker is likely to install as a first-time defensive coordinator.

He has been one of the main communicators in the Eagles secondary, which Parker led as the pass game coordinator since 2021. If anyone is close to Parker on this list, it’s Blankenship.

Projected market value: $7.2M average per year

S Marcus Epps

Although less known, Epps was a valuable veteran for the Eagles in 2025 when he as asked to fill in for an injured Andrew Mukuba. Epps will turn 30 near the end of the month and has a longer injury history than you would like him to, but he could be a solid one-year rental for the Cowboys.

Projected market value: Vet minimum

EDGE Jaelan Phillips

This one is certainly more of a stretch as Phillips only arrived to the Eagles at the trade deadline last year but at least Parker has seen him up close. Edge rusher is a huge need for the Cowboys and one that will be tougher to address int he NFL Draft than others.

Phillips is expected to have a big market and after trading for him, I would expect Eagles GM Howie Roseman to do everything he can to keep him in Philly.

Projected market value: $17.3M per year
