We have officially reached the full swing of NFL Draft season.

The Miami Dolphins are a team facing a major foundational opportunity this April, with five top-100 picks and a desperate need to lay the foundation of a winning young nucleus. The good news is prospects are declaring themselves left and right. We’ve seen the East/West Shrine Bowl and the Panini Senior Bowl unfold this week, offering major movement on the prospect front. But who are the pundits penciling in to the Dolphins?

Downs would be the epitome of a “best player available” selection. He’d fill an obvious need in Miami’s secondary and serve as a centerpiece for Jeff Hafley’s secondary.

Sadiq is one of the most unique weapons in this year’s class. He would provide the Dolphins with a physicality and explosiveness at tight end that the team hasn’t had in quite some time. But a tight end would certainly be a unorthodox pick for a team that’s building the foundation of a roster.

Faulk certainly checks the boxes that Miami has talked about. They need help on the edges. He’s a big, long, physical run defender who plays along the line of scrimmage. He plays a premium position for a pick at No. 11, too. But he’s still raw as a pass rusher and he’d be a major first test for the draft and develop psychology Miami aim’s to implement.

Hey, that’s me! I’ve done a number of mock drafts thus far this season and have mocked the Dolphins names like Sadiq, Faulk, Downs, Tennessee CB Jermod McCoy, Ohio State LB Sonny Styles, and Miami OL Francis Mauigoa. But in listening to this team’s new leadership talk about building a roster from the inside out, I decided to opt for a true standout up front to help address the offensive line. Jeff Hafley wants to run the ball. So do I. And that’s why Ioane gets the call (for this mock, anyway). After finishing my film evaluations for the top offensive linemen, Ioane is my top-rated OL for 2026.
