Vikings 2026 NFL Mock Draft Tracker: Experts continue to be torn on Minnesota’s direction, with one position standing out
Nobody is sure what Rob Brzezinski will do in the NFL Draft
The Minnesota Vikings are one of the more fascinating teams to figure out when it comes to the NFL Draft.
With Kwesi Adofo-Mensah no longer in charge, the Vikings will turn the NFL Draft over to interim general manager Rob Brzezinski. He was a member of the triangle of authority with Brad Childress and Rick Spielman, but this will be the first draft that Brzezinski will be solely in charge of.
After the Senior Bowl gave us more information on NFL Draft prospects, the idea was that the talent pool would be more concentrated. That isn’t the case, as nine different prospects were sent to the Vikings this week.
Minnesota Vikings mock draft tracker 6.0
Caleb Banks, DT, Florida
“Banks made waves at the Senior Bowl for some splash plays, and I would expect he hears his name on day one. He is simply too quick and powerful at his size to pass up at this point of the first round. Minnesota could lose some talent along its DL this offseason, and Banks can impact a Brian Flores unit as a rookie.” – Adam Holt
Mansoor Delane, CB, LSU
“Dolphins general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan has an open mission statement: Build this team through the draft. You know what usually helps that process? More draft picks.
“In this scenario, the Vikings cash in on two third-round picks by sending one of them and a Day 3 pick swap with Miami to leap out of the late teens and into the top-12. The ability to land arguably the top cornerback in the draft, especially one that plays well with eyes on the opposition, is too good to pass up for the Flores defense.” – Crabbs
Kayden McDonald, DT, Ohio State
“The Vikings got great play from Jalen Redmond this past season, but the long-term outlook on their interior still needs a boost. McDonald was one of the best run defenders in the country this past season, regardless of position, earning a 91.2 PFF grade in that category.” – Sikkema
Jermod McCoy, CB, Tennessee
“McCoy is a physical corner who can play man on an island and is also comfortable in zone looks. He’s in phase on vertical routes, and in run support he comes downhill looking to thump someone. He’s coming off a January ACL injury, and while he’s yet to get back on the field, he could end up being the best CB in this class.” – Wilson
Denzel Boston, WR, Washington
Emmanuel McNeil-Warren, S, Toledo
- The Dallas Morning News’ Joseph Hoyt
- ESPN’s Matt Miller
- Athlon Sports’ Luke Easterling
- Fantasy Pros’ Kurt Blakeway
“There’s a good chance that McNeil-Warren doesn’t fall this far. He has all the traits you look for in a safety at 6-foot-3 with great length to eliminate passing windows and the speed to match up down the field. And with eight interceptions over the past three seasons, McNeil-Warren has shown a consistent ability to make plays on the ball. The Vikings had only five draft picks last year and didn’t take a defensive player until Round 5, so they need to hit on some young defenders. McNeil-Warren would give Minnesota a youthful foundation at safety, as Harrison Smith turned 37 on Monday, and allow the Vikings to compensate for missing on Lewis Cine in the 2023 draft.” – Miller
Avieon Terrell, CB, Clemson
- NFL.com’s Lance Zierlein
- Miami Sun Sentinel’s Chris Perkins
- USA Today’s Jacob Camenker
- A to Z Sports’ Ryan Roberts and Joe DeLeone
- Fox Sports’ Bucky Brooks
- USA Today’s Ayrton Ostly
- Pro Football Focus’ Max Chadwick
“Terrell is a sticky, man-cover cornerback with the ability to irritate at the catchpoint and play inside or outside.” – Zierlein
Brandon Cisse, CB, South Carolina
“Defensive coordinator Brian Flores uses a lot of man coverage, which suits Cisse’s traits well. The corner’s contested catch rate, ball tracking and potential in the Vikings’ heavy-blitz scheme projects to offer great upside from Day 1.” – Frelund
Kadyn Proctor, OT, Alabama
“The Vikings extended Christian Darrisaw for the future, which was a smart move. But there is a part of me that is a little uncertain as to who the starting quarterback of the Minnesota Vikings will be next season.
“Regardless of who the Vikings have playing at quarterback, they need help up front to protect the passer. Proctor is a guy they can plug and play here.” – Dehring
Overview
This week, there were 23 mock drafts released, and it’s becoming clear that there is no consensus on the Vikings. Some analysts are just putting an offensive lineman in Minnesota without regard for what they are good at, just because they struggled last season. Overall, we have 114 mock drafts in the first six weeks, with only two players in double digits.
