Seminoles’ elite 2027 commit is ‘locked in’ with FSU, but other blue-bloods are pushing hard
The Seminoles will have to do their best to fend off some elite blue bloods.
The Florida State Seminoles, despite everything going on, are still recruiting fairly well. They have the 15th-best 2026 class coming in, and they have the No. 13 class in 2027, and they’re only going to continue to build that up.
A key reason the 2027 class stands out is cornerback Jemari Foreman. Because of players like him, major programs—often called blue-blood teams—are stepping up their recruitment efforts. Last season, the Seminoles ranked near the bottom among Power 4 teams. In contrast, well-performing programs may try to lure recruits away. As a sought-after player, Foreman is attracting this attention, but he says he’s ‘locked-in,’ as he told Rivals.
“My commitment to them is good,” Foreman told Rivals. “It’s still going strong. It’s great. It was good. I saw the new facility. It was my first time seeing it because they just built it.”
The Oklahoma Sooners are a blue-blood team to watch for Foreman
“It’s good. The safety coach and the edge coach are pushing hard. I talk to them a lot,” Foreman said of Oklahoma.
The Sooners are appealing, having reached the College Football Playoff this past season. Their ability to develop young talent is apparent, as their starting cornerbacks were a sophomore and a true freshman, although their CBs coach has since joined the Buffalo Bills. This development record might attract Foreman, who is aiming to become an elite cornerback.
However, the Sooners could also be a team that doesn’t have much of a shot, as OU is looking to add CB’s JuJu Johnson and Gabriel Osborne after already having two committed to their 2027 class.
So, if Foreman is so locked in with FSU, when will he shut down his recruitment?
“I’ll be back up there the second week in June for my OV. After I take all of my visits, we are going to see,” Foreman said in regards to potentially shutting his recruitment down. “I’m trying to find the best fit for me and see if I’m what a coach is looking for in a player.”
This is certainly something the Noles need to keep an eye on.
