Background 

Allen was considered to be a four-star player by each of the major recruiting platforms coming out of the 2022 class. On the 247 Sports Composite ranking, Allen ended up rated as the No. 155 overall player, the No. 12 running back, and the No. 19 player from the state of Florida coming out of IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida. The Nittany Lions were considered a big winner when they closed on Allen, beating out the likes of Georgia, Ohio State, Alabama, Florida, Michigan, LSU, Tennessee, Ole Miss, Texas, USC, Florida State, Indiana, Miami, Kentucky, Georgia Tech, Michigan State, Pitt, Arizona, Arkansas, NC State, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Maryland, Mississippi State, West Virginia, and Wisconson, among others.

Originally from Norfolk, Virginia native earned All-Big Ten honors in each of his four seasons with Penn State. During that stretch, Allen managed to rush for 4,180 yards and 39 touchdowns on the ground. Allen also hauled in 70 receptions for 490 yards and four more scores as a pass receiver. He had his best season during his final year in 2025, leading the team with 1,303 yards and 15 touchdowns. Allen was selected to participate in the 2026 Panini Senior Bowl after his standout career in Happy Valley. He was an African Studies major at Penn State. Has two brothers, Kayonte and Kayshawn.

Player Evaluation

A consistent running back for Penn State over the last four seasons, Allen has developed a reputation for being extremely consistent as a runner. He runs with some tremendous contact balance as a running back, rarely ever going down on first contact. Allen excels most on finishing second effort runs and finding hidden yardage. There may not be a more consistent overall runner than Allen in the 2026 class. With good ball security and effort as a runner, Allen rarely ever loses yardage. He is the type of player who consistently keeps your offense on schedule. Allen flourishes later in games, profiling as a finisher. That ability to wear on defenders throughout the game is an extremely valuable role. With good vision and experience in multiple running schemes, Allen could potentially fit into most systems. While Allen lacks overall speed, he does a nice job of gearing up to that top speed in a hurry, allowing him to create some chunk runs. He also has experience on special teams; Allen brings a good floor to the table to consistently earn a roster spot.

While Allen seems to have some fans around the league, there are clear limitations to him as a running back. His experience on special teams and physical demeanor could provide a solid floor. At his peak, Allen appears to be a low-end committee back in a power role.
