Josh Heupel and the Tennessee Volunteers are looking near and far in their search for impact players in their 2027 recruiting class. That includes the Lone Star State, where a native Canadian is playing and getting a lot of national attention.

Four-star IOL prospect Sidney Rouleau from Gatineau, Quebec has the attention of a slew of marquee programs from north of the border, and that includes Tennessee in a big way. According to Sam Spiegelman of Rivals, five schools have separated from the pack for the 6’5″, 240-pound lineman. Two have been pushing the hardest for him — Tennessee and Clemson.

Tennessee high on the list for four-star Quebec, Canada 2027 offensive line prospect Sidney Rouleau

Rouleau isn’t the highest rated prospect among the recruiting outlets by any means. He checks in as the No. 270 national, No. 18 interior offensive lineman, and No. 37 player in the state of Texas. He’s currently playing for The Brook Hill School in Bullard, Texas.

But the interest in Rouleau from programs around the country is undeniable. He holds offers from Georgia, Michigan, Ohio State, Oregon, Alabama, Texas, USC, Miami, Oklahoma, Florida, Washington, Florida State, Nebraska, and Virginia Tech, among many others. That offer list speaks volumes over what any ranking system might say about a player.

Tennessee is going to get a good look at Rouleau, as he’s going to make a visit on April 7 to Knoxville and return for an official visit over the summer from June 12-14.

As such, Heupel, offensive line coach Glen Elarbee, and the Tennessee staff will get a terrific opportunity to try to land a future piece on the inside of their offensive line.
