Patrick Mahomes and Chiefs teammates react to blockbuster Trent McDuffie trade

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Chiefs are in talks to trade cornerback Trent McDuffie to the Los Angeles Rams for the 29th overall pick, a 2027 third-round draft pick, and fifth and sixth-round picks in 2026.

Jaylen Watson may have reacted yesterday before the news even broke

McDuffie’s running mate in the secondary may have had an inkling to this trade coming down the pipeline nearly 24 hours ago. Chiefs CB Jaylen Watson had a simple, one-word post on X/Twitter on March 3 at 1:30 PM CT.

Now, the Chiefs hold the ninth and 29th overall selection in this year’s draft. With free agency just around the corner, we will see what their biggest needs are by the time late April rolls around. It’s going to be a busy offseason in Kansas City.
