Packers solve remaining roster issues in impactful post-free agency 7-round mock draft full of bold decisions
Green Bay has seven draft picks.
The Green Bay Packers somewhat addressed cornerback, interior of the defensive line, and wide receiver/kick returner in free agency. They traded for an off-ball linebacker. Adding Benjamin St-Juste, Javon Hargrave, Skyy Moore, and Zaire Franklin to the roster gives general manager Brian Gutekunst a lot of flexibility to operate in the draft.
Now, Gutekunst can do what he does best philosophically: Analyze the board and take the best player available. The big exception is the offensive line — the team inevitably needs more options, especially for depth. But value matters, and the team may explore intriguing scenarios after what happened in free agency.
So, let’s do our post-free agency mock.
Second round, pick 52: Gabe Jacas, EDGE, Illinois
The Packers traded Rashan Gary to the Dallas Cowboys, while Micah Parsons may miss the first month of the season. That means Lukas Van Ness and a combination of Brenton Cox and Barryn Sorrell would start. Getting more edge depth, especially with Van Ness entering his fourth season in the NFL, is key.
Gabe Jacas had 11 sacks and 41 pressures during his final season at Illinois, beyond being a viable run defender. He plays with impressive initial burst and power, and also brings positional versatility to align on the interior of the defensive line on passing plays.
Third round, pick 84: Brian Parker II, C, Duke
The Packers extended Sean Rhyan, but center is still a long-term need. They could explore taking a mid-level piece there in a strong class, which opens the possibility of moving Rhyan to guard eventually. Parker II has a 9.09 Relative Athletic Score and a tackle background, two factors that the Packers love. Powerful at the point of attack, Parker can be the people-mover Gutekunst has searched for.
Fourth round, Pick 120: Austin Barber, T, Florida
Another pick, another athletic offensive lineman to develop. Barber is probably too tall at 6-7, but the Packers have been more willing to get those players recently. With a lot of college experience, he’s played both tackle spots — even though he started exclusively at left tackle in each of the past three years. Excellent depth option behind Jordan Morgan and Zach Tom.
Fifth round, Pick 160: Andre Fuller, CB, Toledo
Fuller is very Packers-y, with a 9.19 RAS, 6-1, and 200 pounds. He is aggressive and attacks the football, getting eight pass breakups in 2025 — converting his numbers to NFL standards, he allowed a 55.6 passer rating when targeted. The Packers signed St-Juste in free agency, but the team cut Nate Hobbs, while both Keisean Nixon and Carrington Valentine are entering contract years, so getting more cornerback options is imperative.
Sixth round, Pick 201: Jordan Hudson, WR, SMU
You might not perceive WR as a position of need, but the Packers lost Romeo Doubs in free agency. Now, Christian Watson, Jayden Reed, and Dontayvion Wicks are all set to become free agents next offseason — unless they get some type of contract extension. Jordan Hudson seems to be a great fit for Matt LaFleur’s offense, being efficient in the red zone and to generate yards after the catch — on bubble screens, for example. His regular stats are solid, but his advanced numbers show a huge underutilized potential.
Seventh round, Pick 236: Kaleb Proctor, DT, Southeastern Louisiana
Proctor is an athletic and impressive interior rusher, and his ability to affect the quarterback and disrupt the offensive line are both excellent. Devonte Wyatt and Karl Brooks are entering a contract year, and recently-signed Javon Hargrave is 33. So it makes sense to add options at the position.
Seventh round, Pick 255: Bryson Eason, DT, Tennessee
Because we didn’t address the interior of the defensive line earlier here, we doubled down in the seventh round to create more competition at the bottom of the roster with guys like Warren Brinson and Nazir Stackhouse. Eason is a smart and active interior player, and his ability to read and react against run plays is notable.
