Jaylen Waddle dropped a quote after being introduced by the Broncos that shows why he was the only choice that made sense for Denver
The Denver Broncos traded for wide receiver Jaylen Waddle this week.
The Denver Broncos pulled off a blockbuster trade with the Miami Dolphins this week.
Denver sent a first-round (30th overall), third-round (94th), and fourth-round (130th) draft pick to the Dolphins on Tuesday in exchange for wide receiver Jaylen Waddle and a fourth-round (111th) draft pick.
Acquiring Waddle gives the Broncos the playmaker they desperately needed to add this offseason.
Jaylen Waddle dropped a quote that shows why he was the perfect choice for Denver
Waddle was introduced by the Broncos on Wednesday after passing his physical (there will be no Maxx Crosby-like situation in Denver).
The former Alabama Crimson Tide standout quickly established himself as a team-first player — specifically by the way he answered a question about being the Broncos’ No. 1 wide receiver.
“I think everyone’s here to make plays, and to try to win,” said Waddle.
Waddle also appears to be open to lining up anywhere on the field.
It’s no secret that wide receivers are often known for having big egos.
But it’s clear that Waddle isn’t that type of wide receiver. Instead, he’s a team-first guy who is completely focused on winning.
There are wide receivers out there with better numbers and better size, but Waddle’s team-first winning mindset makes him the perfect choice for a Broncos team that should challenge for a championship in 2026.
