The Buffalo Bills have the best quarterback on the planet in Josh Allen. He’s arguably the best dual-threat quarterback of all-time, making defenses pay with both his arms and his legs on his way to an eventual Hall of Fame career. He’s been that good during his time in Buffalo, despite not helping lead his team to a Super Bowl.

When he was drafted, general manager Brandon Beane and the organization took a lot of heat, with some fans claiming the team drafted “the wrong Josh” and critics pointing out that Buffalo would have needed to outsmart the entirety of math itself for Allen to be successful.

Allen has since silenced those critics in a big way, and another interesting stat from the 2025 season is further proof that Allen is in a league of his own. Bills Mafia isn’t taking anything for granted when it comes to their franchise quarterback, especially with all the past trauma associated with the position.

Josh Allen is one of one in the National Football League

The 2024 MVP is as clutch as it gets, and a recent post on X from NFL Researcher is further proof. Allen has the most first downs or touchdowns in the fourth quarter of one-possession games in 2025.

It’s not particularly close either, with Allen taking home the No. 1 spot with 42, the next highest being Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford with 37, followed by Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams with 36, Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix with 34, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield with 34 as well.

And that’s the difference.

When the game tightens and everything is on the line, nobody delivers quite like Josh Allen. It’s not just about talent anymore; it’s about trust. Buffalo knows that when No. 17 has the ball late, they’ve got a shot in any game, against any opponent.

I think it’s clear as day that Buffalo not only drafted the right Josh, but they’ve officially outsmarted basically all regular humans and the entirety of math itself. Bills Mafia can’t wait to see what Allen is able to do in 2026 and beyond. If history is any indication, he’s about to put on another show.
