The Denver Broncos have one of the most complete rosters in football. ESPN awarded them as the No. 5 team in football after the first wave of the free agency period had ended.

The Broncos made a splash by trading for former Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle, shaking up the NFL landscape and giving quarterback Bo Nix a weapon.

Now, the team has been reported to be interested in a future Hall of Fame talent, and one that is rather head-scratching. It’s been reported that the Broncos have emerged as a potential option for none other than quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

Pro Football Talk reported that the Broncos are possibly targeting a visit for Rodgers. They claim that the motivation comes from the possibility that Nix won’t be fully and completely back to 100 percent when Week 1 rolls around.

There appears to be no merit to the claim from Pro Football Talk. Zac Stevens reported, based on a source, that there is a “less than zero percent chance” that Rodgers will visit the Broncos. It appears that it’s nothing other than an April Fool’s joke.

On Tuesday, it was reported that Nix is a full go for the team’s offseason program with zero limitations, fully recovered from ankle surgery. It appears that Nix is further along than he typically is in his offseason conditioning program.

At the end of the day, this feels like nothing more than offseason noise trying to stir the pot. With Nix healthy and the Broncos building real momentum, the idea of Rodgers walking through that door never made much sense to begin with, and now it looks even less likely to happen.
