It’s been an offseason full of big changes for the Indianapolis Colts, and it’s not over yet. Another big shake-up to their roster is the addition of nine-year Colts corner Kenny Moore II, who is expected to be traded this offseason.

The Colts and Moore seem to be parting on good terms, which means they will likely do right by their defensive captain. Which tells me they likely will let him have a say in where he ends up. I looked around the league and came up with four landing spots that I think could make a decent offer to the Colts. As well as being a team, I believe Moore II would view as a good fit to continue his career.

Dallas Cowboys

The Dallas Cowboys‘ defense needs a lot of help, and the 2026 NFL Draft isn’t going to fill all of their holes. So why not add a former Pro Bowl corner to help improve their secondary?

Moore would slide into the starting slot position, allowing the team to focus on finding a second starting outside corner to play with DaRon Bland. The Cowboys also own a third-round, a fourth-round, and three fifth-round picks, all of which fall within the expected range of picks the Colts are likely to net in a trade.

Kansas City Chiefs

The Kansas City Chiefs went through a lot of change at corner this offseason as they traded Trent McDuffie and saw Jaylen Watson leave in free agency (both to the Los Angeles Rams). They are expected to target corner in the 2026 NFL Draft, but if they really want to fix the position group, they need multiple additions.

Using two picks in the draft is an option, but trading for Moore would be a better bet. I also think Steve Spagnola would love to use Moore’s proven ability as a blitzer. Imagine him dialing up a Moore blitz on third down to make opposing quarterbacks sweat.

Minnesota Vikings

The Minnesota Vikings already have one former Colts corner in their secondary in Isaiah Rodgers, so why not reunite them? Moore would join Rodgers and Byron Murphy Jr. as Minnesota’s starting corner trio for 2026.

Moore has been a real weapon as a pass rusher during his career. Brian Flores would be able to maximize that more than maybe anyone in the NFL. Rodgers also isn’t the only familiar face Moore would be joining if he were to be traded to Minnesota. Will Fries also signed there last offseason and is a starting guard for their offense.

Carolina Panthers

Last but not least is the Carolina Panthers. Down the stretch last season, the Panthers were one of the best stories in the NFL. The team rallied and put on a strong finish to the year. This led to them winning the NFC South and hosting a playoff game.

Improving their defense has been a major focus this offseason for Carolina. They signed Jaelan Phillips and Devin Lloyd in free agency. The only level of their defense that hasn’t had a major addition is the secondary. Even at age 30, Moore qualifies as that, in my opinion. He would join Jaycee Horn in the corner room. This would add to an already exciting projection for the Panthers in 2026.

I think the Panthers’ approach in free agency suggests they might be more aggressive than the other teams listed. If a bidding war were to break out during trade negotiations, my bet would be on the Panthers.
