Three Rams players who could find themselves saying goodbye to Los Angeles after the 2026 NFL Draft

The Los Angeles Rams have never shied away from making trades, and there are a few Rams on the roster who could be on the move during the draft.

The Los Angeles Rams don’t often trade players on draft day. However, in a year where they are missing a lot of capital and could use some assets, it wouldn’t be a shock to see them try and flip a player or two depending on how the draft goes.

I’m not saying the Rams necessarily will trade any of these players, as they still have plenty of roster spots open, but it’s worth keeping in mind.

QB Stetson Bennett

While I don’t think the Rams will draft a quarterback in the 2026 NFL Draft, if they do, Bennett’s roster spot would be in jeopardy. The team doesn’t want him touching the primary backup job based on their actions, and any drafted rookie will have the more valuable capital invested being a more recent pick.

The Rams won’t roster four quarterbacks and wouldn’t risk one going to the practice squad.

I don’t know if Bennett would really fetch much, but any pick is better than no pick.

EDGE Byron Young

Probably the most likely player to be traded, this entirely depends on how the Rams draft early on. If they take a player like Rueben Bain II at No. 13 overall or an edge rusher at No. 61, then I think this pass rush room might simply have too many mouths to feed for the capital invested.

Young’s deal will expire at the end of the 2026 season, and I’m not sure the Rams will want to pay top dollar to a then 29-year old OLB off of his rookie contract. If they can flip assets now and pick up another Day 2 pick, I have to imagine they’d think about it for the right value.

TE Davis Allen

The Rams have been a popular target to take a tight end at some point in the 2026 NFL Draft. If they do, that room gets a little too crowded. They won’t move Terrance Ferguson or Tyler Higbee, and I’m a little skeptical they would move Colby Parkinson after the way he finished the season last year.

Thus, Allen is the odd man out. He might not fetch much, but a Day 3 pick this year could go to reinforce a different position room after an earlier tight end pick up.
