NASHVILLE — With just a few days remaining before the 2026 NFL Draft, speculation is running wild. The Tennessee Titans could go in nearly any direction with the No. 4 overall pick.
The Arizona Cardinals’ reported interest in Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love made me think about ideal scenarios for Tennessee in a world where they don’t select him.
Titans Dream NFL Draft Scenario
I am a proponent of trading out of the No. 4 overall pick with or without Love on the board.
Using the AtoZ Sports mock draft simulator, I set the limit to the first four rounds of the draft. The Dallas Cowboys trade offer of picks Nos. 12 and 20 in exchange for fourth overall was the deal I accepted. Cosplaying as general manager Mike Borgonzi comes with a theme of balance for this draft.
The Titans front office must both support second year quarterback Cam Ward as best they can, while rebuilding on defense.
Drafting Penn State offensive guard Olaivavega Ioane at No. 12 made the most sense. Tennessee has two glaring holes at guard and center on an already-shaky offensive line. With the 20th pick, Indiana wide receiver Omar Cooper Jr. was the choice.
Help for Ward in more ways than one.
At that point I still had picks Nos. 35, 66 and 101 still at my disposal. Missouri edge defender Zion Young, Notre Dame running back Jadarian Price and Miami corner Keionte Scott all fell to me at those respective picks. Scott’s availability at 101 is the least likely in this scenario, but at 24-years old, he might not be quite a Day 2 lock.
Borgonzi would be thrilled to find himself with that kind of haul through the first four rounds this week.
