Kim Caldwell and the Lady Vols have had a very productive offseason, and they’re not done quite yet.

Tennessee is reportedly a team to watch for a coveted SEC transfer guard.

According to On3’s Talia Goodman, the Lady Vols are a team to watch for Ole Miss Rebels transfer guard Sira Thienou.

Thienou, 6-foot-1 from Bamako, Mali, averaged 9.7 points and 5.7 rebounds per game as a sophomore at Ole Miss last season. She averaged 10.5 points per game as a true freshman the previous season.

“Ole Miss’ Sira Thienou was the last big portal announcement of the cycle – and everyone is trying to wiggle their way into her recruitment,” wrote Goodman on Thursday. “The 6-1 sophomore from Mali averaged 9.7 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.7 steals per game this season. A couple of early schools to watch here are Tennessee, TCU and Auburn, according to sources, but there are plenty of other schools inquiring.”

Caldwell and the Lady Vols have added eight transfer players so far this offseason, including Maryland transfer guard Kaylene Smikle, who committed to Tennessee on Wednesday.

The Lady Vols now have 10 players on their roster, which includes two high school signees (forward Gabby Minus and guard Irene Oboavwoduo).

Caldwell is rebuilding the Tennessee roster after every player from last year’s team either exhausted their eligibility or entered the transfer portal.
