A former Tennessee Vols running back is reportedly getting the opportunity to try out for the Tennessee Titans.

According to a report from CBS Sports’ Matt Zenitz, former Vols running back Star Thomas has been invited to Titans rookie camp after going unselected in the 2026 NFL Draft.

Thomas, 6-foot/210 pounds from Homer, LA, spent time at New Mexico State and Duke before landing at Tennessee in 2025 for his final season of eligibility.

During his lone season with the Vols, Thomas rushed for 596 yards and seven touchdowns and recorded 11 receptions for 116 yards and two receiving touchdowns.

Thomas isn’t the only former Vol who is getting a chance with the Titans after going undrafted.

Former Vols defensive back Jalen McMurray is reportedly joining the Titans on an undrafted free agent deal.

And former Tennessee quarterback Kaidon Salter, who was dismissed from the UT football team in 2021 before ever taking a snap for the Vols, has accepted an invitation to Titans rookie camp.

Salter played at Liberty and Colorado after leaving Tennessee.

It’s never easy for undrafted free agents to make a 53-man roster in the NFL, but these three former Vols will at least get an opportunity with the Titans this offseason.

Former Vols quarterback Hendon Hooker was signed by the Titans earlier this offseason. The Titans also signed former Tennessee cornerback Alontae Taylor, so there should be plenty of orange in Nashville this fall.
